Once you have been to view the venue and would like to provisionally hold a date with us, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. We are a popular venue with a high demand for dates but we will of course work hard to ensure you have the wedding of your dreams.
If you decide to have your ceremony at Gate Street, please be sure to contact the Ceremony Booking Team on 0300 200 1002 at the same time to book the date with them. Registrars are very busy during the peak wedding season and the 2pm Saturday slot is the most popular. If you are opting for a Church wedding, you should contact them direct at this stage.
We insist on securing wedding insurance for your date and will require proof of this at the time of taking payment for your day.
If you wish to book Gate Street after visiting the venue, here are the following payment options:
1. 25% non-refundable deposit to secure the date and a second non-refundable Instalment of 25% payable halfway between the first payment and the final non-refundable Balance due 2 calendar months before the Event. The Second Instalment attracts a £100 inc VAT Administration fee
2. 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the date with the non-refundable balance payable 2 calendar months before the Event. No Administration fee.
We are recommending that couples pay £150 of their deposit via Credit Card with the remaining amount to be paid via bank transfer as you may be able to recover your costs.
‘Under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, the credit card company is jointly and severally liable for any breach of contract or misrepresentation by the retailer or trader.
This means it is just as responsible as the retailer or trader for the goods or service supplied, allowing you to also put your claim to the credit card company.’
